Fillers
What is the difference between fillers and Botox?
Both are used to rectify or prevent the signs of ageing, but fillers and Botox are quite different. While fillers are typically used to add volume and plump the skin, Botox (which is a brand name for botulinum toxin) temporarily blocks nerve signals in the muscles where it’s injected to restrict movement and treat ‘expression lines’.
The most commonly used fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the skin. Thanks to its ability to store moisture, hyaluronic acid is responsible for giving skin a plump and hydrated look. Hyaluronic acid fillers are a gel-like substance that creates volume in the skin. Once injected, they begin to integrate into the substance of the skin, attracting water molecules and hydrating the surrounding tissue.
What are they used for?
Fillers were first used to treat facial lines and creases in order to stave off the signs of ageing. More recently, fillers are being used to augment and enhance facial features such as creating sharper cheekbones, more defined jawlines, and straighter noses. Fillers can also be used on other parts of the body such as the décolletage, neck, and hands to rejuvenate crépey skin.
8 Point Face Lift – Non-Surgical
The 8-point face lift can produce a transformative and rejuvenating non-surgical face lift result, without the cost, downtime or risks involved with surgery.
The 8-point face lift uses advanced dermal fillers to restore volume as well as lift the main areas of ageing such as the hollowing and dropping of the cheeks but also the sagging of the jowl and jawline areas. Lifting and re hydrating these areas restores the youthful look of the face without over filling thus leaving a natural refreshed look that is both long lasting and almost no downtime.
Youthful looking results instantly
The reason it is called the 8-point face lift as these are the specific sites we use the dermal fillers to restore the lost collagen and volume of the face. These can be altered according to each individual however mainly involve per 3 deep injections to lift the mid face, 3 along the jawline and 2 around the temples and chin area. Filler results include:
Lip Filler
One of the most attractive features of the face are the lips, as fuller and well-defined lips can be associated with youthfulness and beauty. Lip filler treatment, also known as lip augmentation, is a non-surgical procedure suitable for anyone who would like to add volume and definition, as well as correct the proportion and symmetry of the lips. Over time, our lips go through natural skin changes, with gradual loss in the volume, texture and shape of the lips.
Dermal fillers specially designed for the lips, come in a variety of densities, all made of hyaluronic acid, and whether you want a subtle natural looking lips or a fuller plumped result, the most suitable dermal filler will be used to create that perfect desired look.
We start every treatment with a thorough consultation to understand what you are trying to achieve along with the application of numbing cream to ease any pain ensuring a more comfortable and pain free experience. Only when the numbing cream has kicked in do we start with the treatment.
The dermal filler used in the treatment is made of hyaluronic acid, a molecule that naturally exists in the human body, making it safe to use on the lips and face. The results are instant and last approximately 6 months, whereby the filler gets broken down gradually by the body, allowing it to go back to its original shape.
This varies from person to person as it all depends on the individuals age, metabolic rate and other lifestyle factors.
Jaw/cheek filler
By injecting filler into different areas of the chin and jawline, it is possible to ‘sharpen’ the jawline.
The area between the chin and jowl, known as the pre-jowl sulcus, can be filled to straighten the jawline and improve the appearance of jowls. Using filler in this area can lower the pre-jowl to the level of the sagging jowl and create the illusion of a straighter jawline.
The angle of the mandible (jaw) can also be filled to strengthen the jawline. Filler is placed from the angle of the mandible to the posterior edge of the jowl, again to straighten the appearance of the jawline.
Finally, the anterior or front of the chin can be projected forwards with dermal filler to enhance the jawline and improve the profile.
